MAINE OUTLOOK- Former Princeton Head Coach and Baylor Associate Head Coach Richard Barron arrives in Orono for his first year as head coach of the Black Bears, replacing Cindy Blodgett.

- One of the biggest pieces of good news for Barron is the return of all-conference senior forward Samantha Wheeler (10.8 ppg, 7.2 rpg in 2009-10) who missed all but five games last year due to injury.

- All-rookie guard Ashleigh Roberts led Maine last year with 10.7 ppg. The sophomore is one of three 2010-11 starters returning for the Black Bears.
