Doane College at Hastings College
The Tigers open the week with NAIA D2 No. 16 Hastings. The Broncos have a two-game lead in the GPAC standings over the Tigers but Doane took the first game of the year in overtime.
Jamie Van Kirk went over 1,000 career points as a Bronco over the weekend and leads the team with 19.1 points per game. She is joined by Michaela Barry who adds 11.8 points per game. The duo also leads the team in 3-point shots made as Barry has 43 and Van Kirk has 41. Rachel Jelden comes off the bench and leads the team with 6.3 rebounds per game.
As a team, Hastings is averaging 73.4 points and shooting 41-percent from the floor. They are allowing 66.7 points per game but opponents are shooting 43.5-percent. Hastings relies on forcing turnovers to make up for the higher shooting percentage.

Doane College vs. Northwestern College
Northwestern has rebounded well from an 0-3 start in the GPAC and have moved a game ahead of the Tigers in the GPAC standings. Doane won the GPAC opener this year over the Red Raiders.
Karen Ettleman has been a big reason for the Northwestern turn around, averaging 21.4 points per game which leads the GPAC. She also leads the Red Raiders with 6.0 rebounds per game. Paige O’Neal, the GPAC Player-of-the-Week, is adding 12.5 points and 5.0 rebounds per game.
The Red Raiders are averaging 75.5 points while shooting 45-percent from the floor. They are shooting 29-percent behind the 3-point line. Northwestern allows 69.5 points while holding opponents to 38.5-percent shooting from the floor.
