• 307 combined years of experience in various fields including business development (small & medium businesses, Fortune 500, international), marketing, advertising, sales, management, municipal management & more

• 113 combined years of supporting greater Hewitt through chamber service

Who We AreLeadership: Ambassadors

• Volunteer representative that acts as a liaison between the Chamber and its members

• Support the chamber’s membership retention plan and provide referrals for chamber membership

• Act as an extension of the board’s leadership

• Serve on various committees throughout the year as part of chamber’s mission fulfillment (Ambassador, Banquet, Budget, Bylaws, Business Awards, Community Development, Fundraising, Golf, Marketing & Social Media, Membership, Signature Events, Scholarship)

“The chamber’s purpose is to promote an environment of

goodwill and prosperity among the businesses, citizens and

community organizations in the greater Hewitt area. The

organization strives to foster, protect, and promote the

commercial, industrial, civic, agricultural and general interests

of the community.”

2015 AccomplishmentsTourism

• Relocation packet & map distribution: 160 YTD • 2015 directory & Hewitt Express magazine distribution: 6200 YTD• Website Hits: 1000 monthly• E-bulletin: Sent weekly to 1900 contacts; includes community news, events & resources• Tourism brochure: 3000 to be distributed along I-35 corridor (project in progress)• Photography contest: goal is to receive photos better enabling city and chamber to promote Hewitt• Hotel traffic: coordinate with hotels to drive traffic to Sleep Inn & Ramada; example: 20 rooms booked through chamber for Lions Club District meeting in October

2016 Goals• Add 2 signature events (Spudtacular Business Exp & Car Show and Nacho Daddy’s Tex-Mex Fest & Fun Run) with goal to grow events and attract out of town traffic• Billboards to promote city and events• Continue strategic partnership with hotels in increasing traffic• Develop mobile app to promote hotels, city services (library & safety), schools & events

• Continue to provide a minimum of 3 opportunities monthly to promote Hewitt & its businesses

• Focus on new member retention and incorporate a 90-day action plan to stress importance of participation

• Continue supporting National Night Out with layout, publicity, event coordination, sponsor recruitment & volunteers

• Further discuss options for event sponsorships for Concert Series & Dog Days

2016 GoalsGoals as discussed in presentation reflect staff and committee

suggestions & projects in progress. The Board of Directors Strategic

Planning Session will take place on Oct. 23rd. Goals for 2016 will be
