So… what?
� Although the 0.5 min/flight target (en-route) not achieved (0.88) and considering the high traffic increase and all ATFM delay causes, hampering an optimal traffic management (sustainable delays), the Network was able to react sufficiently to the numerous challenges.
� NM on the frontline together with stakeholders to mitigate
� Standing still is forbidden, work to be done on delay root causes
� Recruitment plans and social conflicts resolution are fundamental to reduce most of the delay causes as well as:
� airport slots distribution vs effective airport and ATC capacity
� airspace and transition plans aimed at increasing capacity.

NM delay saving
� During RP2 NM committed to save:
� 10% of the total en-route ATFM delay/year and
� 5% of the total APT arrival delay/year (internal target)
� En-route 14%, equivalent to approx 1,500,000 min delay saved by NMOC staff� slot list manipulation 12% + accepted rerouteing proposals 2%
� APT arrival 8.6%, equivalent to approx 600,000 mins delay saved by NMOC staff� slot list manipulation

� Joint efforts of NM (implementation of ‘FPL back office’ by NM staff + NTS) with
CFSPs and AOs, aimed at reducing errors in FPLs.
� 98,2% (all time record) of FPLs automatically processed without manual intervention
from NMOC IFPS staff.
� Target 99% - a real challenge!
� NM policy to deploy former IFPS staff in NMOC Flow Domain (starting FP/FM
combined helpdesk/e-helpdesk).
