Deseamos comunicarles a nuestras familias que desde el próximo año tendremos una nueva cantina en el colegio. Durante este año, tuvimos quejas acerca del servicio. Después de mucha negociación y reuniones con padres, profesores de deporte y alumnos, nos hemos dado cuenta que es necesario ofrecerles un nuevo menú con comida más sana. Este menú incluirá más variedad de ensaladas, y también frutas y verduras.
Algunos estudiantes querían más flexibilidad en el menú y en el horario. La cantina tendrá un día especial. Los viernes, cuando los estudiantes tienen dos horas de deporte, podrán todavía comprar helados y hamburguesas.

Hoy en mi artículo, hablaré sobre este anuncio que leí en el periódico.
La tecnología llega al transporte público
¡Excelentes noticias! El próximo año todos los autobuses de la ciudad funcionarán sin conductor. Así que, usar autobuses será más barato.
Muchas personas piensan que es una idea genial tener autobuses sin conductores, y otros opinan que los trenes también deberían ser así.
A mí también me encanta la idea, sobre todo porque si el transporte público es más barato, la gente estará más motivada a usarlo y el servicio será más frecuente.
Pagaremos menos por usar los autobuses, pero miles de conductores no tendrán trabajo. Más de 100.000 conductores no recibirán un salario para mantener a su familia, ¡y eso será un problema!
Las escuelas tampoco están de acuerdo con esta idea porque consideran que es peligroso que ‘autobuses sin conductores’ sean usados por niños pequeños. Los niños no deberían estar sin supervisión en los transportes públicos.
Es obvio que las computadoras y el internet hacen nuestra vida más fácil y nos ahorran mucho tiempo, pero es esencial pensar en las consecuencias que esta iniciativa tendrá para nuestra sociedad.

Querido diario:
Hoy escribo porque necesito desahogarme. No sé si debo dejar a Juan ahora o después de su cumpleaños. Él hace mucho tiempo que ha estado planeando su cumpleaños.
Es muy difícil tomar una decisión. Juan es una persona buena pero lamentablemente es muy posesivo. Siempre quiere que esté con él. Yo soy muy joven para estar en una relación seria y pienso que debo concentrarme en mis estudios universitarios.
¡Qué triste! Estoy cansada de siempre sentirme enferma y es porque no sé si dejar a Juan ahora o no. No me quiero sentir más enferma. Como tú sabes, a mí me encanta salir con mis amigas, pero Juan no me deja. ¿Qué hago? Además, quiero empezar clases de danzas y él odia bailar. Es muy difícil porque él es bueno. ¿Qué hago? ¡Ya no aguanto más!

Estados Unidos ha sido el destino favorito donde viven muchos latinoamericanos. Personas de Colombia, México o Chile solían mudarse a los Estados Unidos en busca de una vida mejor. Sin embargo, durante los últimos cinco años, Panamá parece ser una mejor opción. En primer lugar, Panamá ofrece un bajo costo de vida y alquilar una casa es cincuenta por ciento más barato que en los Estados Unidos. Además, la moneda oficial de Panamá es el dólar americano, así que la gente puede ahorrar.
Patricia se mudó a Panamá hace un año. Como muchos, Patricia ya está pagando su primera casa y esto la hace sonreír. Ella comenta: “En los Estados Unidos trabajé muy duro y nunca tuve suficiente dinero para comprar un pequeño apartamento”. Patricia explica que tiene muchas razones para estar a gusto, “Es muy fácil levantarse en las mañanas y no pensar en la ropa que usarás. . . y es que el clima en Panamá es muy estable, nunca hace ni mucho frío ni mucho calor”.
Todavía tiene que acostumbrarse a que la gente es muy relajada y usualmente no son puntuales. . . “El primer día en mi nueva oficina, comencé a trabajar a las 8 am y la primera persona llegó al trabajo a las 9. . . lo positivo es que tengo una hora de paz en la oficina”.
