    Resident Spotlight

    Lois was born and raised in New Jersey. She had three sisters. Whenthey were old enough they worked at their father’s hardware store.While still in high school she had a crush on a boy who laterbecame her husband. They both joined the Service during WorldWar II. Lois became a typist in the Air Force. After Lois got out ofthe Air Force, she had two sons. She did not have to work, butenjoyed getting out of the house. She got a job working for the NewJersey Unemployment Compensation Commission. Lois loves toknit and crochet. She knits hats for premature babies at thehospital. Often you can see her with her dog, “Susie” walkingaround what she calls, “the big house”. You will know Lois whenyou see her. She greets everyone with a contagious smile. Her dogSusie is happily wagging her tail wanting to meet people. They are asweet addition to our family of neighbors here at Discovery Village.
