CCD NEWS: TIME IS RUNNING OUT Registrations for Catechism classes started July 9. Baptism certificates must be presented at the time of registration. CCD office hours are on Mondays and Fridays from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. Baptism and First Holy Communion Certificates must be presented at the time of registration. Would you like to get more involved in your church? The CCD English program is in dire need of volunteers, Men and Women who will share their talents as teachers, teacher’s aids, and office staff. With an average of 300 students, we need parishioners who will give of themselves by helping our children receive their sacraments. The Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA) is the place for you. Every year adults are welcomed into the Catholic Community through RCIA. It is a learning and loving process in which conversion of the heart brings you to Jesus Christ who is our Lord and Savior. “Come to me, all you who are weary and find life burdensome, and I will refresh you. Take my yoke upon your shoulders and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble of heart. Your souls will find rest, for my yoke is easy and my burden light..” Matthew 11:28-30. The Blue Mass is to honor those who lost their lives in the attacks against our country and for those who have lost their lives

defending our freedom and protecting our lives daily. This is a remembrance Mass, and any representatives who wish to take part in the Mass or serve as an Honor Guard are called upon. The honor guard is invited to place their colors along with state and national colors. We would like anyone who has photo’s of friends and family that have passed away in service since September 11, 2017 to be particularly remembered at this years Mass. (please contact Matt Young for placement before day of the event). El programa ofrece oportunidades para el desarrollo espiritual de cada persona. Al mismo tiempo, brinda el conocimiento y las habilidades para varios ministerios pastorales. Este programa de Formación Ministerial Nivel I se esmera en contestar preguntas que los católicos tienen con frecuencia. MEXICAN INDEPENDENCE DAY Immaculate Conception and Our Lady of Guadalupe Mission invite you to our

Traditional Mexican fiesta on Sunday, September 16, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30

p.m. at the Parish ramada. It’s a Mexican holiday to celebrate Mexico's

Independence from Spain on September 16, 1810.

Traditional Mexican dishes will be sold. There will also be

entertainment; crowning of the Queen of the Mexican Fiesta, competition of

gastronomy, scenography, and traditional costume. The costume contest is

open to the entire community. The groups of the Hispanic Apostolate have

organized these events.

Presale tickets are available at the Parish office for $7.00 and $8.00

day of event. All funds raised will be used to help our Parish financial needs.

FIESTAS PATRIAS MEXICANAS El Apostolado Hispano celebrará nuestras tradicionales “Fiestas Patrias del 16 de Septiembre”. Es una fiesta mexicana para celebrar la independencia de España, ocurrido el 16 de Septiembre de 1810. ¡Todos están cordialmente invitados a venir y celebrar con nosotros! El Domingo, 16 de Septiembre de 8:30 a.m. a 4:30 p.m. en la ramada de Inmaculada Concepción. Tendremos platillos de diferentes estados de México. Habrá gran entretenimiento, incluyendo grupos folklóricos y música. Cada ministerio tendrá un puesto de comida y una exhibición del estado representado. Los platillos, exhibiciones y atuendos folklóricos serán calificados. También tendremos la coronación de nuestra Reina. Los boletos de preventa están disponibles en la rectoría por una donación de $7.00 y el día del evento $8.00.
