AGAPANTHUS

Evergreen or deciduous? Our classification is based on plants held at 0 degrees.Evergreen varieties are ideally grown in frost free conditions to avoid foliage damage over winter.

Evergreen types require higher water levels in winter months than deciduous forms.

Deciduous types are suited to production environments that cannot be kept frost free and for sale into Northern European markets. Their foliage is easy to remove after a periodof frost.

We can supply plants in 3 cm (P104) and 6cm (P45) and in 9cm pots.

Most Agapanthus are grown to order and so we advise ordering 9 months ahead of delivery; availability and prices are given in our availability list.

Plants are delivered either by cc trolley or on wooden pallet crates.

CHOOSING THE RIGHT AGAPANTHUS

ORDERING AGAPANTHUS

GROWING TIPSTo produce flowering plants in 2 litre/17 cm, pot 6cm or 9 cm plants in July-September.

For flowering plants in 3 litre/19 cm or 4 litre/20cm, pot 6 cm or 9 cm plants in May-June.

Agapanthus are hungry feeders and we would recommend a minimum of 3.5kg/m3 of Osmocote for production in pots above 2 litre.

3cm plugs should be potted into 9 cm pots.
