New technologies are changing our world and lifestyles day by day. Inventions such as mobile phones, computers and the internet have made our lives easier. However, some of these inventions have become controversial in society. Television is the most controversial.

Television has been an important means of communication for many years. Through television, people can watch historical and current events in their homes. Television can also be one of the best teaching tools for children and adults. Many television programmes are informative and educational. These types of programme can teach our children moral values, as well as social traditions.

But there are also disadvantages to television. One of the most serious disadvantages is that television can interfere with relationships between people in real life. Some people spend too much time watching popular programmes and films. This has a bad effect on some people and they can forget about their daily duties and can stop socialising with each other.
