Incentive payments on wool are being mailed to farmers in Geauga County. The incentive
give a report on health or safety. Ruth Ann Keller will give a demonstration on “how to lengthen and shorten a pattern”
The girls will have a picnic lunch after which they will visit a water filtration plant in Mentor. Swimming will conclude the day.
Buehner gave a demonstration on “how to make a flat felled seam.”
Judging will take place in the Chardon Elementary School on Aug. 5. Demonstrations and style review will be held on Aug. 12 in the Claridon Town Hall.
The next meeting is a health and safety meeting which will be held at the home of the Advisor, Mrs. Keller. Each girl will
grading No. 3 or better.This year the loan program" is

Crop Loans for 1958 are available at the Geauga County ASC Office, Old School Building, Burton, Ohio. Farmers are asked their grain be stored for at least a month before making application for a loan. The moisture content of small grains should be under 14 percent.
Following are the price support rates on small grains; $1.92 per bushel for No. 1 Wheat; $1.01 per bushel for Barley grading No. 2 or better; $1.22 per

payment on shorn wool is 15.5 percent of the net proceeds received by the farmer. On unshorn lambs the payment Is figured at 33 cents per hundredweight.
The wool promotion deductions, which are used to help finance an advertising and sales promotion program to increase demand for lambs and wrool, are 1 cent per pound on shorn wool and 5 cents per hundredweight on unshorn lambs. This deduction was authorized by the wool growers of the country in a referendum in 1955
The American Sheep Producers Council was organized by wool growers to conduct the program. Sheepmen from every State are represented on the Council by delegates who elect a board of directors to govern the organization. Representation is based on the amount of money paid into the promotion fund

Payments are being made to farmers in Geauga County who are in compliance with their 1958 Wheat Acreage Reserve A- greements.
Even though payments are made at this time the agreement is in full force until December 31, 1958. This means that a crop cannot be harvested from the Acreage Reserve area in 1958 and the area cannot be grazed anytime during the year. The spread of noxious weeds must be controlled. If any of the a- bove items are not complied with, the farmer will be in violation of his agreement and he
