PRIVATE LESSONS Private gymnastics lessons are available at the Carpenter Recreation Center and are designed to address the specific needs of the gymnast. Private lesson day and times are arranged between the gymnast and the instructor. It takes a minimum of two weeks to schedule your first private lesson. 2020-21 SCHOOL YEAR: September 14, 2020-May 21, 2021The city of Thornton Preschool program is a continuous program.Families enrolling during the school-year are responsible for paying the non-refundable $45 registration fee, May 2021 tuition and the prorated tuition for the month they enroll. These guidelines include indicators for the children to practice in physical development, literacy, logic and reasoning, mathematics, science, social studies, creative arts expression, and approaches to learning. Preschool classes are designed to encourage social skills through play and help children learn the rules and routines of the classroom. Shapes, colors, numbers and alphabet are practiced. The class also introduces sight words, letter sounds, sentence structure, and projects and activities aligned with ELDG. Children enjoy the fun and enriching environment and building relationships with their peers and teachers while learning and practicing early literacy and classroom skills. Completed registration packets, including up-to-date physicals and immunization records from the child’s physician, are required before your child can start classes. NEW! REMOTE LEARNING AGES 1-5Do you need to keep your child remote this year? This content is designed for families who want to build relationships with preschool teachers and peers using age-appropriate curriculum without having to use multiple platforms or spend a lot of time on a computer with their young children. Families will receive weekly emails with detailed lessons and activities they can do at home including the ELDG connections and material lists along with opportunities to connect online for story times, show-and-tell, tips and tricks and question and answer periods. STANDARD TPRCP COVID-19 GUIDELINES SPECIFIC PROGRAM GUIDELINES MAY ALSO APPLY.

General COVID-19 procedures for all activities and programs.• Participants and staff are to remain at least 6’ apart at all times. When applicable, utilize the available floor markings.

• Participants must not come to class if they are exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19, have a fever or have been exposed to anyone with COVID-19.

• Temperature checks will be completed on entry to indoor facilities. Individuals with a 100.4 degree temperature or higher will not be permitted to join the program and will be asked to leave.

• All staff, except for our swim instructors, will be required to wear face masks.

• Masks MUST be worn at all times, during all activities (excluding swimming) by all patrons 11 years of age and older.

• No more than 10 participants allowed at one time (25 participants for outdoor programs.) This does not include the instructor(s).

• Frequent hand washing is encouraged. Hand sanitizer is readily available if soap and water are not feasible.

• Individual equipment or props will be limited and shall not be shared between participants.

• Please come dressed prepared for your activity and plan on leaving dressed as you came.

• Parents, siblings and other spectators are not permitted in the class if it is indoors unless you are a parent or guardian participating in a parent led swim lesson or providing one-to-one assistance for an individual with a disability.

• Participants who are sick or have possibly been exposed to COVID-19 in the last 14 days should not attend.

• You should not attend if you or someone in your household is considered a vulnerable individual.

• Indoor classroom doors should remain open.

• Please confirm that we have your current emergency contact information in our system.

• Arrive no more than 10 minutes prior to the start of your class.
