Course programThe M1 classes take place on the premises of IAE Bayonne and include four major objectives: • to master management fundamentals• to integrate fundamental knowledge in international management • to develop and enhance language skills • to facilitate the development of a detailed professional project for each student through internships,

conferences, field work. This enables students to improve their awareness of management issues in Latin America and of international business issues in general.

The 18-month M2 consists of an initial training period at the IAE in Bayonne from September to February, followed by two semesters of work-study:

• Latin America: Followed by one-semester of academic and professional immersion in one of our partner universities (Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Mexico, Peru, Uruguay), followed up by six months of work placement in Latin America.

• International trade:Followed by one-semester of academic and professional immersion in one of our partner universities (ERASMUS programs in many Eurpoean Countries, China, USA, Canada...) followed up by six months of work placement in a company abroad or an international organization.

Teaching methodsAll teachers are French or foreign scholars, researchers and professionals in international management (executive managers, international consultants, experts in foreign affairs, specialists of Latin America…)Our priority is to use innovative pedagogical methods in order to encourage the participation of students during classes, conferences, case studies, simulation games, projects, seminars and interventions of professionals.

• In M1, classes and seminars are taught in French, English, Spanish, and Portuguese according to the nationality of the lecturer and his professional orientation.

• M2 Latin America is taught in French, some courses are taught in English, Spanish or Portuguese.

• M2 International Trade is taught in English.

Career opportunitiesThe Master in International Management prepares students to work effectively in a wide range of professional roles within a variety of fields including international marketing, international finance and accounting, international management of human resources, international strategy, information systems, project implantation management in the international market and quality in different business sectors. They are also prepared to work in a variety of business sectors including:• major international groups• small and medium size exporters• international public administration• fair trade companies• financial, cultural, diplomatic or banking institution based on

international trade.

THE DIFFERENT TYPES OF CAREERS (NON-EXHAUSTIVE LIST) ARE:• director or deputy director of small and medium-sized firms • director or deputy director of foreign subsidiaries for large groups• sales Executive • international communication manager• administrative and financial manager • export area sales manager• foreign implementation adviser• firm trading executive• international purchase manager• chargé d’affaires• head of international projects • business planning manager• business economist• other executive positions within cultural, diplomatic and

financial organizations or non-governmental organizations focused on an international environment

The two-years Master in International Management program aims to train culturally versatile, highly competent managers capable of providing critical methodological and technical support to international companies. This degree involves a two years training for careers dedicated to international management.

The first-year curriculum focuses on the mastery of management fundamentals as they relate to the cultural, technological and language skills required in international management. Also, students use this time to identify and prepare for their second-year professional projects.

The second-year curriculum focuses on developing specialized skills and includes one-semester of academic and professional immersion in a foreign country, followed up by six months of work placement. The second-year curriculum features work/study options:Latin America: designed to help students develop an expertise in the legal, economic, institutional and cultural matters that will allow them to work effectively in a wide variety of organizations and businesses in Latin America.International Trade Option: designed to train managers able to initiate or support international development and establish-ment of companies within foreign markets, due to their mastery of international trade techniques (customs, transport, logistics, purchasing, marketing), foreign languages, management and intercultural negotiation.

Master“Managementet CommerceInternational”

EN MASTER 1Les enseignements s’articulent autour des fondamentaux de gestion, de la culture, des techniques et des pratiques du management international et des langues (avec trois langues étrangères obligatoires). Les étudiants effectuent un stage obligatoire en entreprise de 2 mois, de préférence à l’étranger.

EN MASTER 2Les étudiants sont plongés dans leur spécialisation (International Trade ou Amérique latine) par un premier semestre académique intensif à l’IAE campus de Bayonne.

Au semestre 2, les étudiants peuvent bénéficier d’une immersion complète de 1 an à l'étranger : un semestre de séjour académique dans une université partenaire et 6 mois de stage obligatoires en entreprise.

Formation sur 18 mois

* Les UE et leurs contenus sont présentés sous réserve de modification. Les cours sont enseignés en français majoritairement et en anglais.

** L'étudiant est orienté vers un module de renforcement (anglais ou espagnol ou comptabilité au S1 et anglais ou espagnol au S2) en fonction de son niveau (tests organisés dans la semaine suivant la rentrée).
