How to Pray for Your NationHere are some simple suggestions to start praying for your nation.Always begin by thanking God for who He is, the Creator, the God of all compassion, peace, and unconditional love for everyone on earth.

Pray for all government leaders – I Timothy 2:1-4 � Pray with respect for their authority, and with a thankful heart

� Pray that God’s peace would cover your nation � Pray for godliness to govern your nation � Pray for a revelation of the truth of Jesus to grow in the hearts and minds of your leaders

Let Your Kingdom Come! – Matthew 6:10 � Declare God’s purposes for your nation � Declare righteousness, godly order and justice in your nation

� Proclaim the rule of God’s scepter of righteousness in your nation – Psalm 45:6

� Release the blessings and benefits of God’s kingdom into your nation

Pray for the Spheres of Influence Over Your Nation � Media � Government � Education � Business/Economy � Arts/Entertainment � Religion � Family

Our 21st Century Strategy � To establish a Capital Prayer Group in every capital city in the world that has an established Aglow presence. The group’s primary focus is to pray for the government and its leaders as the Apostle Paul directed.

� To target those capital cities and their national leaders in nations yet to have any Aglow presence, for the purpose of planting a Capital Prayer Group. Their primary focus would be to pray for governmental authorities (see list of nations in this brochure).

� To encourage Aglow groups already established in capital cities to strengthen their embrace around this strategic call and purpose. These groups can be small, medium or large!

What is Capital Prayer?Capital Prayer is a growing global strategy that is gaining momentum with people just like you. If you have a passion to see God’s peace transform your national leaders and invade your nation, consider joining our team.

Our ChallengeThe governments of this world are in upheaval. More than ever, our earthly leaders need our prayers that declare righteousness. Jesus said it: “Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be on earth as it is in heaven.” Jesus was intentional with every word.

Our Call to PrayWe have a biblical mandate to pray this way. The Apostle Paul proclaimed that, “…supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made… for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence” (1 Timothy 2:1, 2).

What about Operation 222? Operation 222, which began in 2003, is a strategic part of Capital Prayer. The goal was to pray for an Aglow presence in all 222 nations in the world. Aglow was in 155 nations then. Today it is in nearly 170. Capital Prayer focuses our attention on the governmental leaders of this world, declaring God’s authority over those in authority over us.
