First time trying still life
sketching and colouring. I
found the best way to fo it
was to use watercolour paint
first to get some rough
shapes, then I went over
with a marker and
afterwards tried making
shadows. The idea was to
experiment with watercolour
and markers and further I
would like to make them
more realistic, to make them
look more real. But I still like
the cartoon-ish look they
give.

The idea behind this was to draw without
looking and get an abstract looking man, a
picasso feeling to it. The challenge about this
was to transfer the sketch to the fabric and I
spent a lot of time trying different things
before I finally got it right. I used see-through
paper and drew over, then poked holes in the
see-through. Put it over the fabric and used a
marker to get the design on the fabric. Went
over it with a marker to get better lines and
then started to hand sew with a black thread.

I really enjoyed working on
this and it would be fun to
experiment this further
and make something bigger
and add some colour
I knitted two squares with
multicoloured yarn and
used them as canvas.
Experimented with
different colours and
styles. Freehand sewn.

First project was to make ice
hands that could hold candles.
This was inspired by the cold
weather in Norway, and I wanted
to make some decorations to put
outside. I Filled latex gloves with
water and put them over bowls to
make them bend. Left them
overnight in the freezer.The
challenge was after they had
frozen, and to get the latex off.
The first glove fell in the sink after
I had removed the latex, and all
the fingers broke off. But the
second glove was better, and only
one finger broke off due to too thin
ice around the edges.

The second project of ice sculpting was
mostly just to experiment with ice and
design. Used a small board and poured
some water in it, put it in the freezer and
waited an hour. Then I put the design
over it, which was a napkin, a little bit
more water and put it back in the
freezer. The next day we put it out in the
snow.

This decoration was inspired
by e technique we learned at
school and I wanted to make
something bigger. Placed a
napkin on the outside of the jar
and applied albumen to it to
make it stick. The challenge
was to not rip the napkin, but
since I used a small brush it
only teared a couple of times,
and it was easy to fix.

With this photo I wanted to edit it
so that the focus was more on her
face and her expression rather
than all the mess in the
background. I added more contrast
and clarity to make the attention go
straight to her face. This was a
RAW photo and made it easier to
adjust and experiment with.

This photo comes from a series of photographs we took
in an old house. The idea was to make it a bit strange, to
make her stand out but at the same time blend in. I’ve
experimented a bit with some of them in a similar way as
this and it made a nice collection of photographs at the
end. I have cropped it to make her stand out more and
added more contrast. This was a JPG photo and harder
to work with in Photoshop.

I am so glad you’re alive
He drives too fast,
alone in the dark.
The car crashes in,
like the brightest star.
Bones crushing and
lungs collapse
a beautiful fatality
perhaps.

Phone in one hand
cigarette in the other,
shaking as I wait
for him to wake up.
Living would be misery,
death would be restful.
But the pain will pass,
I promise my friend.
The moon
The dark settles
over the sky.
I feel so lost
and I don’t know why
In the middle of the night
the moon shines through.
She tells me whats right,
and what to do.
Depression
I feel numb as I go against and put a smile on my face,
as the nights are short and I’m trapped in a maze.
And the people around me are thinking ‘what the fuck,
what did I ever do to make her day suck?’.
With my curly hair and dirty clothes,
with my wonderful life and a family home.
I feel lost with a brick in my head,
and sometimes I wonder how it’ll be when I’m dead.
