Venezuela
A tour that unveils the secrets of southern Venezuela. Visit the rainforest in the Amazon region,
the National Reserve Río Caura and the Canaima National Park with its TableMountains. During
daily excursions you will explore southern Venezuela flora and fauna. You will have the chance
to go on boat trips, hike, visit local tribes and the highlight of the tour, fly over the Angel Falls,
almost 1000 m height, the highest waterfall of the world.
ITINERARY
DAY 1 Caracas – Orinoquia Lodge (D)
Flight from Caracas to Pto. Ayacucho. You will be
transferred to the Orinoquia Lodge, right on the shore
of the Orinoco River. Walk to a nearby viewpoint from
where you can oversee the Orinoco River. Overnight
Orinoquia Lodge.
DAY 2 Orinoquia Lodge(B/L/D)
After visiting the Piaroa Indians you will walk through
the jungle. You learn about native agriculture and
various local plants. You can also try the refreshing
water of a liana while resting. Afterwards we will visit
the „Tobogan de la Selva“, a natural waterslide.

DAY 3 Pto. Ayacucho – Río Caura (B/D)
On the 3rd day you will visit the Indian market where
you find a variety of local handicraft. Afterwards we
head for the National Reserve Río Caura and the idyllic
Caura Lodge.
DAY 4: Río Caura (B/L/D)
After breakfast you take a boat upriver to reach virgin
jungle. You will visit typical native villages, where you
will learn about native traditions. The journey
continues to a viewpoint, a huge rock ashore the
Caura. After a two-hour hike you will enjoy a fantastic
view over the river and the deep green jungle. With
some luck you might even see parrots and toucans
DAY 5: Río Caura – Ciudad Bolívar (B)
In the morning, you will go for a short walk into the
jungle surrounding the Lodge to learn about the
different jungle plants. The trail leads to a lagoon
where you might observe alligators. This tours
depends on the level of the river, should it be flooded
we will offer an alternative tour. Return to the lodge
for lunch. Afterwards you will be transferred to Ciudad
Bolívar. Afternoon to your own disposal. Posada
Angostura.
Day 6: Ciudad Bolivar-Canaima (B/L/D)
A small Cessna will fly you into the Canaima National
Park. Depending on the weather conditions you will
have the unique opportunity to fly over the highest
waterfall of the world. The Angel Falls are almost 1000
m high. Time at your disposal. Overnight Tapuy Lodge.
In the afternoon you have time for leisure at own
disposal or can be used for optional excursions.
Sapo Fall (half day) – This tour starts at Canaima.
Short boat ride across the Canaima Lagoon After 35
minutes hiking you arrive the Salto el Sapo. You will
have the unique opportunity to cross the waterfall
behind the water curtain.
Yuri Fall (half day) – Jeep-ride to the Caroni River.
Boattransfer and short hike to the Yuri Rapids. If the
currents allow it, you can take a bath in the river.
Day 7: Canaima - Caracas/Porlamar (B)
Today your adventure is over and you will fly back to
Caracas or Porlamar in the afternoon.
