AEPA Architects is the first firm I interned with during the sum-mer of 2012. Located in Washington D.C, this building was designed by my first architectural supervisor Alfred Liu. In order to get a better understanding of space I was asked to measure each floor of AEPA and produce Autocad drawings to keep on record for documentation. By measuring weird angles and curved surfaced areas, I learned that creative spaces can grow no matter what the constraints are. The distinction between lines and actual building materials really came alive to me during this exercise.
