HANNAM VALE PUBLIC SCHOOL – EXCELLENCE & OPPORTUNITY HANNAM VALE PUBLIC SCHOOL – EXCELLENCE & OPPORTUNITY
Dear Parents, Carers, Students and Staff,
What a wonderful sense of community I
experienced this past fortnight. What a great show
of support to have our whole parent body and
many of our wider community members join us to
celebrate the performing arts, learning, and the
progress of your children, our students, at our
annual musical. Thank you.
Today, swim school kicked off. We are so fortunate
to have this excellent program available to us so
that we can enable our students to develop safe
swimming habits and water safety skills.
Please ensure that your child has the appropriate
gear each day. If they do not have their swimmers,
they will have to sit by the pool and miss their
lesson that day.
If you plan to take your child straight to the pool in
the morning, please inform the school via email or
phone before 9am. We will be leaving at 9am each
day and will not be able to wait for late students. If
you are late, please transport your child to the
Kendal Pool.

Learning value of the fortnight
What is it: Getting below the surface of what
you are learning; being curious.
When you use this learning muscle, you …
Are not afraid of not knowing
Are curious about things and people
Like to get below the surface of things
and come up with your own conclusion
Often wonder “why”
Play with ideas, asking “How come?”
and “What if?”

students on a job well done! Thank you also for
our wonderful school community for supplying us
with such an array of yummy treats!
Uniforms
Just a reminder for anyone wishing to order
uniforms between now and the end of the year, that
there are order forms available at the office. If you
complete this and leave the order (with payment)
at the office it will be filled and delivered through
your child.
100 Club
Over the next few weeks of term, the P&C have
decided to run what is known as a “100 Club.” This
is so that we can raise a few extra dollars in
fundraising due to many of our events being
rained-out this year. The premise is as follows:
100 numbers will be for sale at the cost of $10.00
each.
When all of the numbers have been sold, the 100
Club will be drawn by a random number generator.
We will have three winning numbers.
1st will receive $400.00
2nd will receive 100.00
3rd will receive $50.00
