• User can also add the photo/video Snap to their “Story”.

• User can also type messages to friends within the Snapchat app using chat feature and also sends a Chat message to a friend.

• Snapchat was valued at $2 billion, which seemed high for a company with almost no revenue. Its profit margin has remained a solid zero, however that $2 billion valuation is now only a segment of what investors see in Snapchat’s future.

B2B or B2C Organization

Snapchat is good for B2B than B2C organizations because:

Organizations target audience (or some subset of it) is active on Snapchat.

Snapchat is location-specific.

Snapchat strategy is part of a larger, omni-channel campaign for organizations.

Organization Using SnapchatTaco Bell is using snapchat for promotion, they created a dedicated team of two twenty-something’s, the team craft content specifically for the “Stories” section of the platform thrice a week and a bid to keep its audience engaged, they talk to Taco Bell’s fans in the language they understand. Then team members offer them a mix of real-time and more thought-out content — and they speak fluent emoji. (Dua, 2015)

Costs to use snapchat for organizational purposes

Cost is basically depend on the organization strength, geographical locations, products. For instance, McDonalds use snap chat for promotion. McDonalds locations are throughout the world and each country have different locations, so each locations they hire a different set of teams who work for different locations which increases the labour & infrastructure cost. If the organization is small like one restaurant, then only one member will promote that restaurant on snapchat like, that member post 5 coupons or menu images or commercial videos a day. As, in case of McDonalds every country’s individuals have different taste so different products, its expensive.
