Objectives

Through the discussion of the fable “The Lion and the Mouse” the students will be able to:

• Complete a pre test on values and openly discuss the value of not judging people before knowing

them.• Complete a quiz about “The Lion and the Mouse”.• Prepare a Power Point presentation on research

done about Aesop and his fables.

Materials

• You Tube video.• Pre test on values• “The Lion and the Mouse” image.• Vocabulary words with images• “The Lion and the Mouse” video.• “The Lion and the Mouse” Quiz.

Initial Routine

• The teacher will greet the students.• Roll call

• The teacher will administer a pre test on values.• The students will discuss the concept of not judging

people by how they look.• The teacher will introduce the fable by asking what

they think the fable is about.• The teacher will discuss new vocabulary words.• The teacher will play the video “The Lion and the

Mouse”.
