The flames could represent lust and death- both connotations of the thriller genre, also the title femme Fatale is the main thriller convention literally meaning 'she will be the cause of you death’
Here the shot shows a picture being torn in two. Representing a split between two lovers and friction between characters these are also part of a classic thriller narrative.
The red blood denoted in the shot is a part of thriller iconography- blood its self is associate with thrillers
Here the male is dominering whilst the female looks small and helpless- this is how the femme fatale is usually portrayed in a thriller
We have added filters to make the shot appear hazy and film noir like.
Bright red marker pen has been used to put a large cross through the picture of the male character to represent death/ non existent
