The village of Aucallama is located 60 km. Northeast of the city of Lima to 2 hours.

Aucallama is located in the middle of the river valley Chancay.

It has a historic church rebuilt three times since it was built in 1539, the

first in 1555, second in 1652 and again in 1874.

Its main square, colonial type has a nice gazebo in the center and is

surrounded by gardens.

Lachay hills

Lachay hills is a national reserve in the desert of Huaura, province

of Lima.

The reserve is located 105 kilometres north from Lima and

features a unique ecosystem of wild plant and animal species.

Some 150 plant species have been registered inside the park, among them 25 are on their way

to extinction.

The National Reserve of Lachay was established in 1977 to restore and

conserve the wild flora and fauna.

The common mammals found here are the rodents, but there are other species like the Sechuran Fox, the Andes Skunk (Conepatus rex), the mountain mouse, and the vizcacha.
