Queen Eleanor of the castle, was born in 1241 in the castle, she was the second of five children, the rest were boys, and died around 1291.

The meaning of the name Eleanor is sense and sensibility.

She was not the most liked at her time, most people saw her as ignorant and self oriented.

She hade 2 sons, one named Arthur and the other John.

You may want to know why I'm telling you about Queen Eleanor, I'm telling you this because she was Queen at the time the book is illustrated, but yet, she didn’t have a daughter, so Catherin was just a made up character.
