“Twitter is your window to the world.”

▪ Twitter is a “micro-blogging” site/app that allows users to share news, photos, and other information in real-time.

▪ Each post, or Tweet, must be kept to 140 characters or less.

▪ The platform just recently celebrated its 10th birthday!

Step 1: In the app, tap the “quill” button in the upper right corner of your screen.

Step 2: Type what you want to say. Remember, you only have 140 characters. Save at least 25 characters if posting an image!

Step 3: Tap the Tweet button!

▪ A hashtag is a word or phrase preceded by a hash or pound sign (#) and used to identify messages on a specific topic.

▪ Users can search for information using the hashtag as the keyword or phrase.

▪ All a user must do is type the # and add the word or phrase. It cannot start with a numeral and cannot contain spaces.

Connect and share: Facebook allows its users to share photos, videos, and text with people all over the world.

“Add” your friends and family to see what they share on Facebook

▪ Log in to your Facebook account

▪ Search for a friend by typing his/her name in the search box at the top of your Facebook home page

▪ A list of Facebook accounts associated with that name will load

▪ Identify your friend’s account by looking at the profile pictures and personal information listed

▪ When you find your friend, click button. This sends the person a friend request. You will be notified when he/she accepts your request.

1. Locate the “What’s on your mind?” box on your homepage or profile page.

1. Open your Instagram app2. Click the small blue square in the

bottom center of the menu bar3. At this time, you can either upload a

picture taken previously or take a new photo

4. Choose the picture you want5. You may zoom in or out on the photo

you choose

Once you’ve taken a new photo or chosen a previous photo…

1. Tap the filter you’d like to apply (there are currently over 20 filters)

2. Tap the filter a second time to adjust the filter and effects

3. You then will add a caption, location of your picture, and tag anyone that is in your photo

1. Click web browser to open Internet

2. Type in URL: www.linkedin.com

3. Enter First Name, Last Name, E-mail, and Password

4. Click “Join now” button
