Beagle of the Month—Teddy Bear

Teddy Bear lived in this old steel barrel in Scioto County for most of his life. One day the humane officer came and took Teddy and his friends away. Due to his prior living conditions he has had numerous health issues and is currently in need of cataract surgery. We named him Teddy Bear because he likes to cuddle so much.

Upcoming Events—Come on Out and Help with Humans

Beagles rrrrrrr Us is always in need of human helpers to tend our tent at adoption events. You will get to spend time with classy hounds as well as other humans who appreciate Beagles as much as you do. It is so much fun to

match up Beagles with prospective homes. Each home is different—some are first-time adopters, some have

recently suffered the loss of a canine family member, some are looking to add a second or third Beagle to their

pack.

The First and Third Sunday of Every Month from 12:00-2:00 Mingle with the Mutts at Franklin County Animal Control on Alum Creek Road. http://www.franklincountyohio.gov/commissioners/ancl

If you’ve got spare, we can always

use...paper towels, old acrylic blankets,

fresh carrots and other veggies

It is a well known fact that beagles can relief stress. If you’ve had a

stressful day let us help you to relax. All you have to do is stop by to give

us lots of petting, scratching, brushing and just plain cuddling. You will

receive plenty of kisses.

Hi Mama Liz,

I'm sorry it has been so long since you've heard from me - I've been busy, busy, busy. I

have my very own dog here. She is my best friend, although sometimes I'm not so sure I'm

her best friend. She plays with me a lot and when I want to play and she doesn't, I pull her

tail. That gets her going every time. I even pulled her across the kitchen floor backwards

once. She was just sitting there being good and her tail was sticking out - I just couldn't

resist.

Birdie and I each have a bed in Mom and Dad's room to sleep on at night. As soon as it gets

light outside, Birdie and I jump onto Mom and Dad's bed. We get to cuddle for a little

while before it's time to get up. That is one of my favorite parts of the day. Mom takes us

on a walk every morning and Dad takes us on a walk at night. We have lots of friends in the

neighborhood. All the kids like to pet us and there are many dogs to sniff and bark at. One

neighbor even bought us some biscuits, so I really like to stop at her house.
