• I feel that overall, my media product has followed the regular conventions of any magazine but also the conventions of a indie music magazine. Here I have annotated each page of the magazine to show this.

Barcode and price

Date and web address. To show the magazine is up to date.

Bold masthead.

Clear picture of the celebrity whom the target audience will recognize.

‘Free posters inside’ to capture the audiences interest and persuade them to buy the product because of the thought of getting something free.

Very clear main coverline which clearly states the celebrity's name.

Quotation from interview page to capture interest

Tagline to be featured in the contents page.

Bold secondary coverline

Very clear title using same colour scheme, font and background.

Large pictures which capture the interest of the target audience and also relate back to the front cover and contents. Page numbers also shown for accuracy.

Magazine name and page number.

Same sub-heading as as the front cover said. (news views reviews)

Realistic amount of pages in the magazine. (65)

Same colour scheme throughout.

Page 5: Annotation

A unique ‘fan’ arrangement of showing the pictures.

Title and page number.

Pictures are relevant to the audience and the article as it is the same model featured.

Good interview questions used which ask about the past year, tours and upcoming gigs, which is what NME or other indie music magazines would ask.

Quotation relating back to the article.

Pun used to add mild humour to the article.

Bold title and introductory paragraph explaining what the interview is about.

Background colour matches the main picture.
