our beautiful campus. We have decided before the year is over

to take our curriculum outdoors. Your child will be permitted to

dress down these days in clothing suitable for the outdoorweather and activities. Reminders will come home regarding

    Refreshments

    Authors Tea Celebration:

Reading and writing are major for our first graders! We actively work on skills and strategies, while

also trying to instill in these young students a LOVE for both! Our Authors Tea is a way for us to take

time at the end of the year to celebrate the growth of each and every writer and reader in our class. At

your childs Tea, he/she (along with five other classmates) will read aloud a story he/she has written in

Writers Workshop. This special piece will have been revised, edited, illustrated and published by your

child! Your child will be asked to dress up on this day and we will offer refreshments afterwards, as it is

a very special event! More information to come...

FYI: There will actually be three Teas (May 28: 8:15-9:15, May 29: 8:15-9:15, May 30: 8:15-9:15) to

accommodate parents schedules. You will only be asked to attend one Tea.

The sign up sheet is attached and we ask that you return it to school no later than next Friday,

April 12th. This will help us to get you the finalized schedule so that you can plan accordingly.

    Thank You!
