News from ISBE: SIP Plans
Continue to guide districts/schools to work on required plans but not paste them into the 2008 templates.
They must wait to use the 2009 templates.

The 2009 template due dates—CURRENT THINKING from ISBE
A “drop dead” deadline has NOT been established
Work as though the initial IWAS notification started the clock ticking—varies from school to school, district to district

News from ISBE: 2009 REVIEW PROCESS
ISBE is working on a plan to move to greater consistency in the compliance check of the plans.
The 2009 Resource Manual includes monitoring prompts that note the compliance items. Marked by [C].
RESPRO Area 1C
News from ISBE: 2009 REVIEW PROCESS Readers should work toward consistency on those items and mark only those compliance items.
Reader comments would be only on those compliance items and applicable positive comments.
Remaining “quality” items would be for in-area RESPRO only.
Area RESPROS would provide the quality comments.

News from ISBE: WHO has to write plans?
Reading lists by area need to be done as soon as possible.
Each ROE must identify WHO needs to submit a SIP, a DIP, and/or a Restructuring Plan!

News from ISBE: WHO has to write plans?
The logs are for your REVIEW as of July 17.
The SIP log shows who submitted an e-plan and which plans were reviewed by ISBE.
The 2006 and 2007 plans have now expired.
If a school in status is not on the log, they must submit a 2009-2011 plan.
Schools new to status for 2009 also must submit a 2009-2011 plan.
RESPRO Area 1C
News from ISBE: WHO has to write plans?
The DIP log includes all submitted DIPS
ISBE reviewed only those necessary for academic status.
This means that some of your districts may wish to save their plan as a Word. Document so they can use 2008 RtI info for their 2009-2011 plans.
The restructuring log includes those that moved paper plans to e-plans in 2008.
