WE ENCOURAGE ENTREPRENEURSHIP EDUCATION The APP COMPETITION is a challenging stretch activity that allows girls to implement what they learn, learn from any mistakes, and learn how to work together in teams.

Unique approach to STEM education because it takes it one step further from creating an app. Students must create a business model.

TThe DEMYSTFYING ENTREPRENEURSHIP activity event include opportunities for students to 1) learn about important traits of suc-cessful entrepreneurs, 2) implement what they learned about entrepreneurship traits by listening to a panel of entrepreneurs, and 3) reflect on entrepreneurship traits they possess

PARENT TRACK“Women and minority students that have successfully pursued parent STEM education highlighted the importance of their parent’s support to pursue STEAM education. ”

Parents have the opportunity to hear from others about challenges, issues, and rewards of raising a STEAM-focused girl.

CCan better support their daughter’s pursuits once seeing their daughter’s abilities during the conference.

After the two-day Summit, STEAMers are a part of the Astra community. This community includes a growing number of high school STEAMers, WBENC certified women-entrepreneurs, and corpocorporate members. STEAMers have the opportunity for leadership positions within Astra STEAM.
