CODAN is a global supplier of fluid handling systems to the automotive industry. Our hoses and systems are used by vehicle manufacturers and 1st Tier suppliers. All plants are TS16949 – ISO14001 or ISO9001 accredited and in addition we have many OEM audit approvals.

CODAN produce straight and shaped rubber hoses plus complete hose systems encompassing plastic tubes, manipulated metal pipes and quick assembly fittings. In addition we produce rubber mouldings and extruded sealing systems as part of a range that covers almost all rubber applications in a car or commercial vehicle today.

CODAN started working with automotive producers 60 years ago and now has a reputation for innovative and commercial flexible solutions for all automotive fluid handling applications. Our specialities are in Fuel, Air-Conditioning, Water, Oil Cooling, Power Steering, Vacuum Braking and Vehicle Hydraulics.

CODAN hoses incorporate the latest compounds and techniques to work in more confined automotive spaces, resist more aggressive fluids such as Bio Fuels and Air Conditioning gas, to meet legislation on permeation of harmful emissions and to live longest in harsh environments.

Codan also specializes in fluid systems for trucks, buses and vehicles produced for the agricultural and construction industries.

SHAPED HOSES

Codan specialises in the design and manufacture of formed hoses, from simple elbows to multi branch shapes. These can be produced in a variety of rubber compounds including silicone.

Hoses can be reinforced with heat resistant materials for pressurised systems or can be produced without any reinforcement for low pressure or vapour application. Shaped hoses can include wire support for vacuum resistance or inserted metal parts for charge points or for attachment.

Different size ends are common as is the need to manufacture hoses of different size hoses joined together.

All tooling is designed and produced in plants accredited to TS 16949 with full engineering, testing and CAD capability.

Our flexible manufacturing system is designed to run batches from prototype quantity to full volume, running into hundreds of thousands.

Automotive customers provide the most volume for Codan shaped hoses. Codan is an approved 1st and 2nd tier supplier of shaped hoses to many of the World’s foremost Car manufacturers.

Most common applications are for fuel, power steering, cooling, heating and braking. Hoses can be supplied open ended or complete with fittings such as quick fit types for OEM assembly.

Codan also produce shaped hoses for original equipment manufacturers of construction equipment, agricultural vehicles and engine / power generators. These hose types can be very large, and are often required to be resistant to hot and demanding working environments.

In all industries Codan can work with original customer drawings or specifications and can assist in the design of materials and routing for all applications.
