GROUP TRANSFORMATION Have you ever played on a team before, such as in baseball or
cheerleading? On these teams, it's important that you work togeth-
er and get along with other players or members. This is called
teamwork. Teamwork involves working together with other
people to get to an end goal. The most important teamwork skill is
the ability to communicate effectively. This includes speaking
knowledgeably, tactfully and candidly as well as listening actively
with an open mind. The most effective teamwork happens when
individual contributors harmonize their efforts and work toward a
common goal. Good teams don’t typically happen by accident; hard work, commit-
ment and some amount of struggle are usually involved in creating successful
teams.
