May this next year be better than the last one. To our Eagle family and friends that have lost a loved one in 2018, our hearts and prayers are with all of you.

This Eagle year is over half gone (1 June – 31 May). Where did time go? As you know, staying busy makes time go by fast. Keep in mind that in the months ahead, charity activities and various conventions will be held. If you have not attended a convention-- you are missing out! They are a lot of fun, especially meeting other Eagle family members, sharing stories, etc. I will have a list of conventions in my coming President messages.

- Once again, start thinking about next year’s officer’s positions – your Aerie needs YOU! Volunteers are always needed. We encourage new members to get involved in your Aerie activities and offices.

- Brothers, let us all try and get a new member this year. Bringing new members into our Aerie is how we keep it alive now and into the future.

- Our next Joint Officers meeting will be January 17th at 7pm.

- Business Owners: Call Dave 402-660-4592, to place your business ad in our

monthly newsletter! Our newsletter is also on our Bellevue Eagles web site.

- Members, attend your Aerie meetings when held on Thursdays (8pm) (see calendar); become informed and help make decisions for our future.

- Broasted Chicken Dinner will be held January 11th, 5:30-7:30 pm.

- Remember, our State Officers Charity is the Exoskeleton. Donation cans are available at the main bar. These machines help our veterans walk with spinal cord injuries.

- Thank you to those of you who donate to our newsletter fund. Without your help we would not be able to provide for our members.

BROTHERS – PLEASE SUPPORT YOUR AERIE AS MUCH AS YOU CAN AND IN WHATEVER CAPACITY YOU CAN. OUR AERIE NEEDS YOUR HELP! In closing, remember our motto: If I cannot speak well of an eagle, I will not speak ill of him. See you around the Eagles Fraternally, David Hodges, Worthy President

Dear Sisters, Happy New Year!! May 2019 bring you all good health and prosperity!! I would like to remind you that applications for the Auxiliary Scholarship are now available. This will be a great opportunity for a deserving student. I am very excited to announce the 3rd Annual Soup Cook-Off, January 12th at 4 p.m.! Our members have been so generous in our effort to raise money to fix, update, and repair our Aerie home; and now it's time to come together for our FOE charities! Everyone is welcome to enter their favorite recipe for a $5 entry fee. There will be 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place winners and of course the highly competitive and fierce "People's Choice" category! Come taste & judge some of the finest recipes while raising money for our FOE Charities. Thank you members for the growing support at our meal functions. Attendance

is on the rise, and the word is being spread of the great quality and value. Please remember to visit the sign-up station to see where you can help out! Volunteers are always needed and appreciated! We are now half way through the Eagle year. Time is really flying! I want to thank all of the Auxiliary Officers for a great success so far. You all have gone above and beyond your duties to make things run smooth; and I truly thank you from the bottom of my heart!! We've tried new ideas and brought in new members, and I'm truly proud of this auxiliary! April Frazier Madam President

Attention Members: Starting January 1st 2019, we

will be charging a $5.00 cover charge to all non-members attending any entertainment at the club. Hopefully this will offset some of the costs for the great bands we have come in and also promote membership.

Due to rising costs, prices of all meals will increase $1.00 effective 1 January 2019. (Remember, no tax and free coffee!)

Thank you,Trustees

Just a reminder ladies, the Women's Group will be meeting January 6th at 1 pm. We will have an expert to discuss makeup tips & skin care. Bring a snack to share and come join the fun; maybe make a new friend or visit with some old friends. If you know someone who would benefit by this group, please invite them to come. Thank you Sue Winter

THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT of the annual candy and nut sales! I would also like to thank those who supported and were able to attend Breakfast with Santa! Santa was happy to see so many in attendance. You definitely made it on the “nice” list. ~Sharon Jarvis, Auxiliary Secretary

A BIG HAND OF APPLAUSE FOR ALL OUR DONORS! Yes, indeed, Bellevue Eagles went all out to support the Bellevue Food Pantry during the month of November. The big box was filled to the top with boxes of food. Additionally, the Auxiliary provided a check in the amount of $100.00 so vouchers could be written for fresh foods such as meats, vegetables, milk. More than once, when I stopped by the Pantry to check on things, there were signs on the doors that no vouchers were available. So, Bellevue, you came through when you were needed. Thanks also to Teri O’Connor for collecting food at her place of employment, and to Patrick O’Connor, for providing jeep transportation to the Pantry. Can’t forget to thank Kathy Onnen at the Food Pantry for the neat flyer she provided.

Thanks, everybody! Jo Pfeffer, Committee Chair

Our utmost "SPECIAL THANKS TO ALL" who supported the "Veterans Angel Tree"

efforts this year; those who bought gifts and helped in the delivering of them to the Veterans Center. The Center was very impressed with the number of bagged gifts that we delivered. We feel assured that each receiving Veteran will appreciate the gifts. But more importantly, each Veteran knowing that "THEY ARE NOT FORGOTTEN!" The Committee: Dorothy Parks, Charlene Lueth, and Phyllis Measel
