All our dolls are made in a soft polyester leece, and are illed with polyester ibre. The bottom is irmly stuffed with granulate, which allows the dolls to sit comfortable. The
eyes and facial structures of Rubens Barn dolls are what
makes them stand out from other dolls. It is no secret that
their popularity is because of their cheerful and lifelike
appearance.
About Rubens Barn*

The brand Rubens Barn was born in 1995 when Ewa Jaren-
skog designed the irst six original dolls; Anna, Emil, Ida, Meiya, Harry and Maria. Ewa, who is a recognized Swedish designer,
sculptured these dolls in a unique style and in a soft fabric ma-
terial, which has given all our products a happy and well known
character.
Teruko Wahlström, who also has apparel training, joined Design
Rubens in 1996 and brought with her extensive experience from
textile manufacturing and industrial production. Teruko became
general manager for the company.
In 1998 Design Rubens Sweden AB was established. This was
the decision point to broaden the business and also address
the market outside Sweden with Rubens Barn. Our mission is
to offer: High quality textile products of own design made
for pedagogic and happy play for all ages.
In the following years Ewa and Teruko together created new
Rubens Barn product lines under the names of Little Rubens,
Rubens Cosmos, Rubens Ark, Rubens Linné, Rubens Baby,
Rubens Kids and Rubens Mini-Ballerina.
The characteristic concept brought forward with Rubens Barn,
Handmade Happiness hardly needs to be explained. The fee-
ling, which these handmade happy dolls convey, talks for itself.
Production and quality control is checked on a daily basis via
modern technology and by frequent visits at the production site
in Nanjing. This family owned factory has been the base for
our production from the very beginning. We, together, share
important values regarding high quality, good terms and con-
ditions for the workers. We continuously aim at high standards
for environmental factors.
Design Rubens Sweden AB is located 30 km east of Göteborg
in a small village named Bollebygd, where ofice administration, customer service, design studio, warehouse and show room
are in one place.
