In August 1996, a Brooklyn duo consisting of MC Outloud and DJ

P.F. Cuttin, better known to the world as Blahzay Blahzay, released

“Blah Blah Blah”, their one and only album, on Fader Records. The

album’s 13 tracks proudly waved the flag of the East, featuring hit

single “Danger”, as well as other bangers such as “Pain I Feel”, “Good

Cop/Bad Cop” and “Danger - Part 2” (featuring Smoothe Da Hustler,

Trigger Tha Gambler and Wu-Tang affiliate La the Darkman). The

combination of PF Cuttin’s polished beats and Outloud’s aggressive

lyrical style made this album a classic for all underground hip-hop

Twenty-one years after its original release, Blahzay Blahzay have

teamed up with Italian independent record label Tuff Kong Records

to bring back their legendary “Blah Blah Blah” LP. This spring, Tuff

Kong Records will be releasing the album on 2LP, re-mastered for

vinyl and featuring the original artwork, as a limited edition run of

Austin-based musician Eliot Lipp delivers “Skywave”; an album Lipp has been working on for the past several months. With influences from sci-fi soundtracks and 70s and 80s funk, he channels a collection of weird, high-definition, melodic beats. In these nine songs Lipp feels he “might have everything I want to say in one moment.” Recreating key musical moments in a current and relatable way was the goal in producing Skywave and giving himself permission to take some risks as well. With a versatile approach, Lipp has created opportunities to connect with some of the artists he first looked up to, playing in cities across America and abroad always returning to his hometown in the Pacific Northwest. Collaboration plays a role in all his albums. He’s been a fan of Emancipator for a years now and was beyond excited to get his “Not Quite Awake” remix. He asked DMC champ Chris Karns to scratch on ‘Joyride’. In addition to doing cuts, Chris ended up playing live drums and layering unique vocal samples.‘Reflection’ came from a jam session with Gibbz and Cherub in their Nashville studio. Under the glow of moonlight, Zak Damundo has arrived on the Cold

of San Francisco DJ / producer Zach DeVincent, Zak Damundo

Da Buze Bruvaz are a hardcore rap duo from Philadelphia. Both

are also longtime members of the legendary NY posse the LoLifes,

founded by Thirstin Howl 3rd.

Known for their outlandishly over the top non-politically correct, razor

sharp lyrics and aggression. They’re a throwback to the early mid-

90s underground hip-hop peak. Though they have released limited

collectors edition vinyl in the past, this is their first official LP. It has

The musicians comprising Halo Orbit represent three different

corners of the map, literally and figuratively. The group consists of

Grammy Award-winning bassist Juan Alderete (The Mars Volta,

Deltron 3030), guitarist/synth player suGar Yoshinaga (Buffalo

Alderete and Yoshinaga first met in the late nineties when Buffalo

Daughter toured the U.S. supporting Girls Against Boys. Well over a

convened in Los Angeles with drummer Guiliana, writing nearly an

album’s worth of tracks that they immediately recorded with engineer

Magic in Threes are releasing their first double-sided instrumental

funk 45 on KingUnderground.

Hailing from Nashville, Tennessee the smoked out instrumentalist

trio Magic In Threes are highly influenced by library records, old

film soundtracks, and hip hop tapes. They were formed in 2010 as a

side project to their work with DeRobert & the Half-Truths. Following

a long line of solid and well-received releases on Nashville’s own

G.E.D Soul Records, KU then started their investigation into the

chances of signing the group.

In 2016, Magic In Threes members; Dave Singleton, Nick DeVan,

and Mark Spain set a goal to record and release a new track every

week. You are about to hear two of them. The a-side “At Jody’s”

was recorded at flautist Jody Douglas’s house in the Sylvan Park

neighbourhood of Nashville, Tennessee. “A Breezy Day” was

recorded at DeVan’s Poor Man Studios in Madison, Tennessee. We
