Eligibility to the Tuition Assistance Program begins on the first day of employment if you meet the following criteria:

Must be a US or Canada Dell Team member Working 20 or more hours per week

Team Member must be employed before, during and upon completion of the course for which assistance is being paid.

Eligible expenses will be covered up to the annual benefit amount for the calendar year in which the course is paid. Payment amounts are based on your status at the time of payment processing as indicated in the policy. Eligible employees have a cap limit of $5,250.

All education programs must be related to the employee’s current job or an established career path within Dell. All coursework must result in academic credit.

Educational programs that are covered include:– Associate– Bachelor– Master – PhD– Individual Course– Graduate Certificate– Licensing Exams– Certification/Designation Exams– EMBA

Excluded Degree Programs, but not limited to:– Entrance Exam (GMAT, GRE, SAT, ACT, etc.)– Continuing Education Units (CEUs)– Seminar, Workshops, and Conferences

Eligible Fields of Study (FOS) should relate to the employee’s established career path within Dell.

Majors or Fields of Study that are covered include, but are not limited to: Accounting Business Administration Finance Information Technology Management Nursing

If employee does not see their FOS, they can select “Other” and fill it in.

All coursework must be provided by an institution holding Regional or National accreditation. You can determine if the school orprovider holds Regional or National accreditation by searching the Council for Higher Education Accreditation website at https://www.chea.org/search-institutions.

Expenses NOT covered, but not limited to: Travel Meals Transportation Equipment Software Material Supplies

Access the EdAssist portal via the Dell’s intranet site.

Go to Action Needed on the Homepage to view applications that require your review and approval.

Click on Review Application to review the application details and start the approval process.

Or, click on the link in the Approver notification e-mail in your inbox.

Approval Process

History History also provides you with details on Your Team Member applications including pending approval, already approved, forwarded to a supervisor, paid, and etc.

You can search for your team member by clicking on the Team Member filter drop-down and selecting their name.

To review and approve an application from History, click on the application number.

Application Approval Per the Dell’s Tuition Assistance Policy, employees are required to review their intended program, field of study/major and number of required courses with their manager prior to submission in EdAssist.

In EdAssist, an approver can review the associates profile, look at the associates historic applications and review the course details in each application.

Application Approval Once you have reviewed the application select Approve or Deny the application at the bottom of the screen.

If you deny the application, a reason for your denial is required.

*Note* The denial reason will be displayed to the employee.

If you approve the application, you will see the following message on the screen.

No further action is required after you submit your approval or denial.
