The Portuguese Golden Residence Permit ProgramYour Fast-Track To Residency In The European Union

If you are looking for a European residency that leads to citizenship,

the Portuguese Golden Residence Permit Program is your answer. This newly launched program

gives you the freedom to travel visa-free within the 27 Schengen countries.

With this program, you become a resident of Portugal. After being a resident for five years, you can

apply for an indefinite leave to stay, qualifying a year later for the Portuguese citizenship.

The Portuguese Golden Residence Permit Program entitles you and your family to legally live

and work in Portugal if you decide to do so. You may also use the residency to visit Portugal or

any other Schengen destination whenever you want to. A minimum of one-week stay per year in

Portugal is required to keep renewing your residency.

Portugal is one of the most desirable countries to live in, with attractive investment opportunities, a

warm and temperate climate, a welcoming and diverse population and a high quality of life in a safe

environment.

The Golden Residence Permit Program was developed in October 2012 by the Portuguese

government. It is aimed at attracting high-net-worth individuals to invest in the country, with the

acquisition of real state with a value equal to or above € 500,000.

We are here to guide you through this journey, facilitating the investment and residency application

process necessary for you to obtain your Portuguese citizenship in the most cost efficient way.

Who We Are

How We Help You Obtain Your Residency

Golden Residency Permit (GRP) is a program developed and managed by PGCCI, a Portuguese

management and strategy advisory company whose partners combine extensive experience in

banking, legal, real estate, and corporate finance.

GRP is a specialized service designed to assist qualified investors from outside the European Union

to obtain a Portuguese Golden Residence Permit through the purchase of property in Portugal.

Among GRP partners are accounting and audit firm Price Waterhouse Cooper Portugal and many

well-established real estate agents, consultants and technical advisors whose knowledge and expe-

rience is available to support you.

GRP has a well-defined and simple five-step process to assist you and your family to obtain the

Golden Visa Residency.

1. GRP will help understand your requirements and guide you to fill our basic application form. You

can choose to live in the property as a second residence or request GRP to assist you to rent and

manage your property.

2. You will need to sign the engagement form to empower our partner Price Waterhouse Cooper

to act on your behalf in front of the governmental authorities. This step will require you to make a

payment to cover the program fees and the official application fees charged by the government to

process the visas for you and your family.

3. GRP will then show you properties that it has shortlisted for you based on your requirements. We

ensure that the properties listed and presented to you meet high standard levels and are free from

legal and other forms of liabilities.

4. Your are then expected to travel to Portugal to open your bank account, select your property and

sign the official paperwork at Serviço de Estrangeiros e Fronteiras (SEF), the government agency

belonging to the Ministry of Home Affairs and in charge of the Golden visa process. Throughout all

the process, GRP staff will accompany you during your trip to ensure that all procedures run smoothly

and with minimum delays. If required, GRP can assist you to obtain your Portuguese visit visa for your

first trip.

5. Price Waterhouse Cooper will then transfer the property in your name and process the Golden

Residence for you and your family. The Residency Permit is initially granted for one year and renewed for

periods of two years. During this period, you are meant to spend at least seven days per year in Portugal.
