    Eternal Rest: Please remember in your prayers the family of Frances Frankie Hornek, sister of parishioner MarvinBertrand, who passed away November 23 rd and was buried from St. Paul Catholic Church on Tuesday.     Advent Materials: On the table near the loft stairs, we have available a variety of take-home material you can use tospiritually prepare for the season of Advent, including Advent candle sets, the Little Blue Book of daily devotionalsand a weekly prayer and reflection sheet from Liturgy Training Publications, The Word to Go . Help yourself!Advent Charity: Our parish is participating again this year in the Spencer Co. Public Schools annual Christmasassistance program for children of families who qualify. You may choose one of 30 Angels with a Wish List froGiving Tree located outside the Parish Offices. Consider sharing an angel with another family, keeping in mind thatthis may be the only Christmas these children may have. Please sign your name next to the number on the Angel youhave selected, and return your wrapped gifts no later than December 15-16 th, with each gift labeled with the number.Contact Coordinator Mary Anne Cecil, 477-6035, if you have any questions. In addition, we are also participating inthe Marine Corps Leagues Toys for Tots drive.     Holy Day of Obligation/Celebration: Saturday, December 8 th is the Feast of the Immaculate Conception of theBlessed Virgin Mary, celebrating her sinless beginning at conception. Read the Dear Padre article on the back of th

    bulletin. Mass will be celebrated at 8:30 AM the Vi gil Mass will be at St. Francis Xavier on Friday at 7:00 PM.

    Religious Education for Children/Youth: All parishioners are invited to attend our Advent Family Session onSunday, December 2 nd, and we ask that children be accompanied by an adult as a way to provide faith formation for allgenerations. Classroom sessions will continue as scheduled next Sunday. Contact Diane Black with any questions.

    The Catholic Service Appeal Bringing Christ to Others : Additional pledges and gifts to the Catholic ServiceAppeal have increased our parishs total to $6,355, nearly 19% over our goal of $5,350. Every pledge or gift isappreciated, and we are grateful to those who have made a commitment to support the Archdiocese and the work theydo in bringing Christ to others. We ask that you consider making a donation if you have not yet done so envelopes areavailable in the back of church, or you may make a gift online at www.archlou.org/CSA. Thank you for your help.

    New Years Eve Dance: As previously announced, there will be no dance on New Years Eve.

    Prayer Garden: Contact Connie Eisenback or David Young with questions, or pick up an informational brochure.Payments for the project are considered purchases, and will not be included in your annual parish contribution amount.

    AA will meet at 7:30 PM this Tuesday in the Basement. An open discussion format is used.

    Thank you from the Multi-Purpose Community Action Agency, who operates the local food pantry , for thegenerous contribution of non-perishable food donated from our parishioners. We were told that the shelves were almost

    bare. You might consider donating food on a regular basis please put it in the baskets outside th e Parish Offices.
