ICT BRIDGE SUMMIT 2020 SHARING OF BEST PRACTICES OF SKCET

Our beloved Principal Madam articulated the ‘Best practices of SKCET and its

association with ICT Academy’. Principal Madam also shared the highlights of

the prominent award received with regard to ‘Institution with the highest

Industry Institute Interaction 2020‟ at ICT Bridge 2020.





SKCET's positive trajectory towards Digital skilling gains the National Cloud Champion Award

SKCET won the ‘National Cloud Champion Award 2019 under Institution

and Coordinator category„ for the active coordination of 'Cloud Literacy

Month Campaign' conducted by ICT Academy, in association with Amazon

Web Service(AWS). Dr.N.Susila, Head of the department, Department of

Information Technology won the Coordinator award. SKCET gets qualified for

this prestigious award amongst 500+ Members Institutions of ICT Academy,

Pan India which witnessed 50,000+ student participants. Principal Madam along

with Dr.N.Susila, HOD-IT, Dr.S.Balakrishnan,HOD-CSBS and Dr.Jayasudha

Subburaj, Placement officer received the awards from the delegates today.





LAUNCH OF BOT LAB AT SKCET

MoU Exchange to set up BOT Lab (Robotic Process Automation) at SKCET

was also signed in the ICT Bridge Summit 2020 with Automation

Anywhere(AA). The benefits of MoU would enable our students to do

advanced RPA certification, facilitate MNCs such as Accenture, TCS,

Cognizant and Wipro which are working on RPA projects to recruit RPA skill -

set students from SKCET and gain mentorship for Robotic live projects




ICT BRIDGE 2020 : GLIMPSES

Mr. Hans Raj Verma, IAS, Additional Chief Secretary (FAC) - IT dept

delivered the Chief Guest address highlighting the importance of Technology.

He insisted the audience to deploy powerful Technology to transform the lives of

Rural Women, Health and Water Management. He also invited the young

entrepreneurs to transform Tamilnadu into a powerful state.

CSE/CSBS - STUDENT INTERN PRESENTATION TVS TECH NEXUS 2020

To foster their creative minds and to expand the knowledge of our II CSE/CSBS

Students TVS, Hosur invited them for the second time for an Intern on “Tech-Nexus

2020” for delivering a presentation about the Cyber Security Trends and Live

Hacking Use Cases on February 25 & 26, 2020 in sequel to the project presentation

done at “HackerTech2019” in VIT University. The Chief security manager of TVS

Motors Limited Mr.Nandha Ram was happy about the student’s enthusiastic

presentation in the delightful Intern event regarding Cyber Security latest trends and

Live Hacking Scenario.

SoM - ANNUAL BUSINESS SUMMIT AT IIT ROORKEE CONFLUENCIA 2020

Three students Ms. H.Divyasree, Ms. R.Leema Roslin and Ms. S. Gayathri, I

MBA students bagged second prize in the Confluencia 2020- Annual

Business Summit conducted by IIT Roorkee. They have won the Second

position out of 278 nationwide teams in the Marketing competition ‘Thinking

Big’. The team is awarded with cash prize and gifts, Harvard Business Review

subscription and Norton Antivirus security for a year worth Rs.25,000.




SoM - ANNUAL BUSINESS SUMMIT AT IIT ROORKEE CONFLUENCIA 2020




A team of students from the Department of Mechanical Engineering and

Electronics and Communication Engineering presented a project in "VISAI

2020" held at Veltech University and won Second prize with a cash award

of Rs.7500.

II ECE A students - Abhinandhan S, Arjun K K, and Aswini P M won

laurels in VISAI 2020- International Project Presentation competition held at

VEL TECH college, Chennai on the topic 'Effect of Indian ocean dipole'

under the theme ‘Climate action’.They were awarded a cash prize of Rs.5,500

VISAI 2020- International Project Presentation competition held at VEL TECH

Project review - I was conducted for the II year students of School of

CSBS - CLASS COMMITTEE MEETING

Second Class Committee meeting was conducted for the Second year CSE C

students. Dr.Prabha, Associate Professor-CSE chaired the meetinga nd

discussed the teaching learning process, co-curricular, extra-curricular activities

of the students.




MECH – PROJECT REVIEW

Final Year students from the Department of Mechanical Engineering

appeared for a project review chaired by tutors and faculty members of the

department. The review was conducted to monitor the progress and provide

valuable suggestion to improve students’ final year projects. Key projects were

on Rescue Robot, Waste Sorting Robot and Dual axis movement writing

machine. Students also presented their Internship projects done in industries

namely Ford, Chennai and Hyundai, Chennai.
