An Institutional plenum was convened by Principal Madam with Heads of departments to

review the UTKRISHT SANSTHAN VISHWAKARMA AWARD (USVA) 2019 with regard to

Exemplary Institutional Intervention.

SKCET - INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE MEETING

A Pre-Conference preparedness meeting was convened by Principal Madam with all Heads

of Departments. Dr. Fazlur Rahman, Librarian presented the progress of the "International

conference on Transforming Academic Libraries: Vision 2030" to be held during 14-16

November 2019.





A guest lecture on the topic “Integrity A way of Life” was given by Mr. C. Rajesh, Deputy

Superintendent of Police, Vigilance and Anti-Corruption, Coimbatore as a part of

Vigilance Awareness Week 2019. He addressed the students on the meaning of Vigilance

and Anti-Corruption, ill effects of corruption, corruption index and ways to reduce the

corruption.

Mr.R.Vellingiri, Retd.DSP - CBI, addresses the students and faculty on 'Need for Integrity in

public life' as a part of Vigilance Awareness week celebrations.





CIVIL - BOARD OF STUDIES MEETING

The Eighth Board of Studies (BOS) Meeting for finalizing the curriculum and syllabi for B.E.

Civil Engineering course for the Regulations 2018 was convened by Dr.D.Maruthachalam,

Head of the Department of Civil Engineering along with the expertise Dr.R.Thenmozhi,

Professor and Head, Civil, GCT Coimbatore, Dr.G.Prince Arulraj, Professor and Director E

& T, Civil, Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences, Coimbatore, Dr.V.G.Kalpana,

Assistant Professor, Civil, Coimbatore Institute of Technology, Dr.S.Kalirajan, JGM &

Head – Spl. Initiatives (Nuclear), L&T Chennai and department of faculty members.





Dr.N.Susila, Head of the Department, Information Technology, convened a meeting with

Debate was conducted for the First year B.E/B.Tech and M.Tech students at C4 Seminar

Hall, as a part of Vigilance Awareness week events. It was conducted to provide growth

opportunities for leadership and group participation. The students communicated various

forms of arguments effectively in a variety of contexts.

IT – FACULTY PROGRESSION

Ms.V.Saranya, Assistant Professor, Department of Information Technology has

successfully completed her Ph.D Viva Voce examination on 29.10.2019. Her thesis is titled

“Energy Efficient Resource Management Techniques in Wireless Sensor Networks”.
