MEETING





Last week of October is observed as Vigilance Awareness Week under the aegis of

Central Vigilance Commission (CVC). This year, the week falls from 28th October, 2019 to

2nd November, 2019. Owing to this, an Integrity-pledge headed by Principal Madam

along with the faculty and students was administered to participate in the fight against

corruption.

SKCET - WEEKLY MEETING

A meeting with the Heads of all Departments was convened by Principal Madam. The

agenda was on preparedness of NAAC, NBA and Governing Body Council Meeting,

Upcoming events and Timetable.





ICTAL – PRE CONFERENCE MEETING

A Preconference Meeting was convened by Principal Madam along with Dr.A.Fazlur

Rahman, Librarian, Dr.J.P.Ananth, Controller of Examinations, Dr.S.Balakrishnan,

HOD-CSBS and Dr.Jayasudha Subburaj, Placement Officer to discuss about the

preparedness for International Conference on Transforming Academic Libraries: Vision

2030 (ICTAL 2030) which is to be held on Friday, 15th November, 2019 at SKCET.





The Eleventh Board of Studies (BOS) Meeting for finalizing the Curriculum and Syllabi

for B.E. Computer Science and Engineering course for the Regulations 2018 and

M.Tech. Computer Science and Engineering course for the Regulation 2019 was

convened by Dr.K.Sasi Kala Rani, HOD, Department of CSE along with the expertise

STUDENT DEBATE CONTEST

Vigilance Awareness Week at School of Management was inaugurated by

Dr.K.Nagarajan, Head of Department, School of Management. The student debate contest

on the topic “Ethics in Politics- A Myth or Reality” was conducted under the guidance of

Dr.P.Vijayalakshmi and Mr.R.Muthukrishnan. The event was coordinated by Aditya Prasad

S, Saiprasath R & Rajthilak S, II year SOM students.

SOM-VIGILANCE AWARENESS WEEK CELEBRATION - 2019





A team of students from the Department of Mechanical Engineering participated and won

the Third prize with gifts worth Rs. 5,000/- in the TECH QUEST '19 project contest

organized by Caterpillar Inc. The contest was organized as part of the Manufacturing

Day Celebrations of Caterpillar.

Coaching Class enables the individuals and team to broaden, develop and motivate each

other to achieve improvement in their end semester examination. In this regard, coaching

Kumar and Partial Differential Equations & Transforms Techniques (PDE&TT) by

Ms.B.Logapriya & Ms.K.Rajalakshmi.

SHORT FILM CONTEST

As a part of the Vigilance Awareness Week celebration, a short film contest was organized

for the students under the guidance of Dr.P.Vijayalakshmi and Mr.R.Muthukrishnan.

Students created short films on the topic “Integrity-a way of life” and the best short film

was awarded. Aravind.M, Ajith.D, Jayarama Krishnan. A, students of SoM coordinated the

short film contest.

Dr. J. Rejina Parvin of Department of Electronics and Communication has published

a paper titled "Particle swarm optimization-based energy efficient target tracking in

wireless sensor network" in the Elsevier-Journal of Measurement, Volume 147, 2019,

106882, ISSN 0263-2241, https://doi.org/10.1016/j.measurement.2019.106882. It is

Indexed in SCI and Scopus indexed with impact factor of 2.791.

Dr.V Karthickeyan of Mechanical Engineering Department has published a paper

titled “Simultaneous reduction of NOx and smoke emissions with low viscous biofuel in

low heat rejection engine using selective catalytic reduction technique” in the Journal of

Elsevier Ltd-Fuel. It is SCI and Scopus Indexed with an Impact factor of 5.128.
