The five days STC on „Haptic
Technology for design of soft
robots‟ in association with
NITTTR, Chandigarh has
ended as a highly beneficial
activity. The final session was
handled by Mrs. S.J. Syed Ali
Fathima,Associate Professor,
Kumaraguru College of
Technology, Coimbatore. A
clear depiction on “Virtual
Reality and NUI computing”
and demo on virtual training
with the help of VR headset,
Leap motion sensor and kinetic
device were delivered.
A meeting with the Heads of all Departments was convened by
Principal Madam. The agenda was on:
Association Events for Odd Semester 2019-20.
Extended classroom activities on Saturday.

Ms. M. Sugunadevi, Assistant Professor, Civil
Engineering is attending TEQIP III sponsored Faculty
Development Programme on “Sustainable
Construction Materials and its Characterization”
from 10.06.19 to 16.06.19 at PSG College of
Technology, Coimbatore. She has gained knowledge
regarding current research domains at various research
centers like CSIR, IITs and NITs towards sustainable
constructions in the field of Civil Engineering.
FACULTY SUMMER RESEARCH
FELLOWSHIP
Prof. N. Babu, Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering Department has successfully
completed the Summer Research Fellowship program organized by Indian Academy of
Sciences from 15th April 2019 to 9th June 2019 (56 days) at Indian Institute of Science,
Bangalore to enhance the knowledge in the field of Tribology. During the internship, he worked
in the Surface Interaction and Manufacturing Lab (SIAM) on manufacturing of surface
composites by reinforcing the ceramic particles and thereby analyzing its tribological properties.

Department meeting was
convened by Dr.N.Susila, Head
of the department, Information
Technology with all the faculty
members.
The key points discussed in the
meeting were:
Mentoring of student
assignments in NPTEL for
achieving high scores.
Formation of cluster heads
and periodic meetings
were scheduled.
Revised faculty workload
and timetable, monitoring
duty schedule were
discussed.
PLACEMENT - WIPRO PRP
Dr.K.Senathipathi shared his experiential ideas to
crack the WIPRO PRP Assessment for seven of our
CSE and IT faculty members who going to attend the
final assessment on tomorrow (15th June 2019) at
WIPRO office, Coimbatore.

MEETING WITH FINAL YEAR ADVISORS
Meeting was convened by the Dr.N.Susila, Head of the
department, Information Technology with the final year
advisors and placement coordinators. Maximum number
of participations in InfyTQ challenge and TCS
inframind challenge were emphasized. Advisors were
instructed to monitor the students participation and
submit their performance report weekly .
Ministry of Human Resource
Development (MHRD)‟s
Innovation cell organized an
AVIEW meeting. IIC Co-
coordinator, Department in charges
and project mentors of SKCET
attended the meeting virtually. Mr.
Dipan Kumar Sahu, Executive
Consultant, MHRD’s Innovation cell
convened the meeting. The
meeting was to avail better
understanding of PoC and IIC 2.0.
