Th icon will be shown on courses you havecleared.

Th icon indicates the Super Gems you havecollected.

For courses you have already cleared, a hiddenobjective will be displayed here. If you fulfil it, youwill see th icon.

Indicates courses where you have collected everySuper Gem, got the Power Star, and completed thebonus challenge.

If you haven't cleared a course yet, the edges of itspages will glow.

To clear a course, grab the PoweStar located somewhere within thcourse

Press while playina course to pause thgame and bring up tmenu screenFrom there you cachange the cameracontrols or exit the course so you can chooseanother one.

If you fall from the course or into lava, or takedamage as Small Captain Toad, you will loseone life. If you lose a life with zero livesremaining, it's game over!

If you lose five lives on oncourse, an Assist Pluck Patch wilappear. If you need some helgetting through the course, pull iup to find an InvincibilitMushroom. Grabbing it will make you, well,invincible!
