Mr. Denis L'Heureux, Chief Representative in Greater China for EDC, will discuss various business solutions for cross-‐border trade and will cover some of the specific tools available to protect your interests when dealing with China. Mr. Denis L’Heureux joined EDC in June 1999 as financial services manager in the SME Services Team. He subsequently held the positions of financial services manager (Machinery and Equipment), business development manager (Advanced Technology and Manufacturing Sector), financial services manager (Telecommunications), account executive (Resources) and regional vice-‐president (Small Business Solutions). In his official capacities Mr. L’Heureux has acquired solid experience in the area of credit, particularly in emerging markets. He has co-‐ordinated many networking events for purchasers from emerging countries and Canadian companies. In July 2012, Mr. L’Heureux accepted the position of chief representative, Greater China, assuming responsibility for business development and relationship management in Mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Macau.
