1. Requirement Summary

Chamundeshwari Electricity Supply Corporation Ltd, Mysore (CESC) is into distribution of electricity to

its consumers in 5 districts viz. Mysore, Mandya, Hassan, Kodagu and Chamarajanagara and issues

electricity bills to its consumers against the consumption made. CESC’s electricity bill payment service is

to be integrated onto Mobile One platform. The integration activity would be done to integrate CESC

services in a similar manner of BESCOM service integration.

The user selects the payment options in the bill desk page and after completing the payment transaction with

selected option, the user is taken back to Mobile One app/portal with status of the payment transaction

displayed with acknowledgement id as below:

Service Flow:

Steps

1. User Dials *161# from his/her mobile.2. Selects language (1. Kannada or 2. English) .3. Select 1 for utility Bill Payment Services4. Select #4 for CESC Mysore

Output : Sub menu of CESC should be displayed.

1. View/Pay CESC Bill2. Register for CESC Bill9. Main Menu

5. In step 4 output, user selects 2 to Register CESC Account number

6. The user enters a valid CESC account number

Output: New account number of CESC should be successfully registered.

7. In step 4 : user selects 1 -> View/Pay CESC Bill

8. Registered account numbers are displayed. User selected A/C No for which he/she wishes to make payment.

9. For the selected account number, the bill details should be displayed to the user.

10. After step 9, the user selects Pay bill

11. The user shall be able to pay the bill successfully using payment gateway.

12. Acknowledgement shall be sent to user via SMS for transaction done on Mobile One platform.

3.3. IVR

3.6. Assumptions

3.7. Payment

This is a payment service where in Citizens Pay CESC Electricity bill payment through various

channels of Karnataka Mobile One as explained in the service flows in previous sections.

3.8. Payment Type Fees

For each electricity bill payment transaction of CESC done through Karnataka Mobile One Platform,

CESC shall pay INR 2.85 (Two Rupees and eighty five paise only) as transaction fees to CEG. This is

agreed as per the MOU.

3.9. Reconciliation Process

The Reconciliation Process will be done as per the MOU terms and conditions. The Login to verify

MIS on a daily basis will be provided to the interface created for CESC team. The MIS Reports shall

be of below format which can be downloaded (Sample BESCOM MIS is attached here for reference)
