TRANSCRIPT
Founded in Silicon Valley in 2014, Product School is the global leader in product management training, with over 10,000 alumni, 20 campuses worldwide and a live online campus.
Product School’s certificates (PMC™,FPMC™,PLC™) are the most important industry-recognized certificates for product managers; and all of our instructors are senior-level product managers working at top technology companies such as Google, Facebook, Airbnb, PayPal, LinkedIn, and Netflix.
Designed to fit into work schedules, classes are held in the evenings or on weekends. The curriculum contains a healthy mix of hands-on projects, group exercises, case studies, and interview prep; plus access to a network of alumni, mentors and job opportunities.
Product School is committed to pushing the product community forward. With this aim in mind, we published the Amazon bestseller, The Product Book, organize events in over 150 cities worldwide, host The Product Awards, and produce ProductCon, a multi-city global conference attended by thousands of product managers every year.

THE RISE OF THE PRODUCT MANAGER
Here are three things you can do to help you become a Product Manager this year: Build SomethingCreate something that demonstrates your ability to conceptualize and ship projects. You don’t need a team or a budget for this.
NetworkOnline and in person. Get out there and start meeting Product Managers in your neighborhood. Attend some free events, make friends, and o!er value. Your network will be an invaluable source of support and ideas and will be able to help you get a foot in the door when new hiring opportunities open up in your community.
Apply StrategicallyIf you’re brand new, you’re unlikely to get a PM job at Google right o! the bat! Use your new network to guide you towards opportunities that fit your talents. Try and narrow it down to a specific industry – perhaps related to your interests or previous work – where you can add unique value.

ALUMNI PROFILE
GENDER/AGEI am now a Lead Product Manager at Facebook.
I took a product school certification in 2017/2018. I was not a
PM. I was a Technical Program Manager at that time. I found
it very usefull. I am now a Lead Product Manager at Facebook.
Also, all other students along with me were not PMs. They all
are PMs now. It took all of us a while based on companies we
were targetting. But we all got into Product Management. All
11 folks are PMs at Netflix, Workday, VMWare, Cisco etc. It lot
depends on your e!orts. Interview mock-ups, prep material,
blog readying to think like a PM etc.
