Through decades of planning and cultivation,

Singapore has earned the name of Garden

    City.

As Singapore becomes more built-up, the

    continued planning for lush, landscaped

spaces becomes all the more important as a

    relief from high-density, urban living.

    Total Defense

"Military Defence is to "enhance Singapore's peace and security throughdeterrence and diplomacy.

"Civil Defence" is about ensuring Singaporeans know what to do in times ofan emergency

"Economic Defence" is defined as maintaining the economy of the country

and its ability to compete in the world, as well as environmentalprotection. It also involves helping Singapore (and Singaporeans) stayrelevant in the global economy and putting in place economic systems toensure that the Singapore economy does not collapse in times of crisis.

"Social Defence" is about keeping the social fabric strong and ensuring thatSingaporeans live in harmony regardless of race or religion. This is especiallyimportant because Singapore is a multi-racial and multi-religious society.

"Psychological Defence" is about loyalty, commitment to Singapore, andhaving the will power and resilience to overcome challenges. This is thecomponent that would determine if Singaporeans will stay to fight orabandon the country when it is in trouble.

Dragon danceis a form of traditional dance and performancein Chinese culture. Like the lion dance it is most often seen infestive celebrations. The dance is performed by a team ofdancers who manipulate a long flexible figure of a dragon
