Fabric RequirementsMake sure the width of the fabric(selvage to selvage) is an inch or so widerthan the desired finished diameter of thecircle. The length (inches purchased off the bolt) should also be a bit longer thanthe desired finished diameter.

PrintingThe chart on the right shows whichpages to print for different finished circlediameters. Note: The patterns aredesigned to be printed at 100%. Beforeprinting the patterns, make sure thatpage scaling is set to none in the Adobe

Acrobat print window. To be sure yourpattern printed at the correct size, measure the box on the the first patternpage. It should measure exactly 1 inch

    by 1 inch.

Pattern Assembly Cut out each piece at the outermostmarkings. Overlap the pattern pieces atthe shaded areas and pin, glue, tape, orstaple them together as shown.

Cutting After assembly, cut the pattern to the desired size. The finshed diameters aremarked on the two straight lines. If you are making a circle with a hole in thecenter, also cut the pattern at the proper position for the opening. For example,a 58” wide tree skirt with a 6” hole in the middle would be cut at the 58” and 6”markings.

Place the numbered straight edges of the pattern on the folds ( d ). Pin into place.Cut the fabric at the outer curved edge ( e ). If you are making a circle with a hole init ( f ), cut the fabric at the inner curved edge as well ( g).Remove the pins and unfold your circle ( h ).

Cut the fabric into a square that is slightly larger than the desired finisheddiameter of the circle ( a ). Fold the fabric in half lengthwise ( b ). Make a secondfold, this time widthwise ( c).
