Collegiate Engineering

Balzer Technology Center, Siloam Springs, ARBecause of growth in the Engineering and Construction Management Department and a pilot program in renewable energy, Hastings+Chivetta designed a new facility tailored to the curriculum requirements of the Department. Students have access to state-of-the-art labs for hand-on learning that are in close proximity to study spaces and their professors’ offices. Spaces in the building include general classrooms, an electronics lab, optics lab, renewable energy lab, high bay structures lab and construction management labs.

John Brown University

Missouri University of S&T

Butler-Carlton Civil Engineering Building, Rolla, MOHastings+Chivetta designed this three-phase addition and renovation, centered around a large atrium designed as a gathering space and teaching tool. It features exposed structural, mechanical and electrical elements for students to see and study.

Research and teaching laboratories are included for disciplines including high-bay structures testing, hydrology/hydraulics and surveying, geotechnical, concrete, asphalt and aggregate materials.

Rayzor Hall, Computer Science & Electrical Engineering Building, Tulsa, OKHastings+Chivetta designed the new two-building engineering complex for the University of Tulsa, beginning with Rayzor Hall. Specialized labs give students and researchers access to state-of-the-art facilities. Teaching and research laboratories include: circuits, rf/wireless, robotics, reverse engineering, microprocessors/electronics, computational biology, enterprise security, digital, and software design. Centrally located departmental offices keep researchers in close proximity to their labs.

Universityof Tulsa

Stephenson Hall, Petroleum & Mechanical Engineering Building, Tulsa, OKThe Petroleum Engineering program has been an established presence on campus since 1930. As the next step in the development of a Science Quadrangle, the site for Stephenson Hall was selected through extensive analysis including a review of vehicular and pedestrian access, parking resources, site utilities, contiguous structures and conformance with the long-range campus master plan. The site accommodates both resident and commuting students, and is in proximity to the new Rayzor Hall, also designed by Hastings+Chivetta.

Universityof Tulsa

Engineering Building Expansion, Edwardsville, ILHastings+Chivetta is designing an Engineering building expansion that will provide much-needed office and classroom space. The new building will complement the existing facility and extend over the one-story existing structure. The expansion will provide classrooms and offices for the departments of Civil Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Construction Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering.

Southern Illinois University, Edwardsville

Murray State University

Engineering and Physics Building, Murray, KYThe Engineering and Physics building is the final component of the comprehensive science center at Murray State. The completion of the third facility will create a cohesive, interdisciplinary science environment for undergraduates, also including Biology and Chemistry. The facility will incorporate labs for astronomy, electronics, engineering measurement and material science. Additional components include electrical and machine shops and a hydrolab wind tunnel.
