RHP Jon Gray got the win in the first game, pitching six shutout innings while allowing only three hits and two walks with eight strikeouts … in his last 10 starts, Gray is 3-1 with a 2.87 ERA (62.2 IP, 20 ER) with 22 walks and 56 strikeouts. SS Trevor Story went 2-for-4 in the first game with two doubles, his first multi-hit game with Albuquerque. New Britain (42-42) lost their fifth consecutive contest and dropped back to .500, falling to New Hampshire by a score of 7-0. 2B Juan Ciriaco picked up one of the Rock Cats three hits and is hitting .343 (12-for-35) in his last 10 games. Modesto (8-4, 41-41) hung on to beat Inland Empire 4-3 to get back to .500 on the season. LHP Harrison Musgrave was selected as the California League Pitcher of the Week for the week of June 29-July 5 after going 1-0 with no runs allowed in 7.0 innings pitched with one hit and eight strikeouts. OF Jordan Patterson went 3-for-4 with his 12th triple and his 10th home run of the season, both the most on the club. RHP Antonio Senzatela improved his record to 5-4, allowing one run, unearned, on five hits with no walks and two strikeouts. Asheville (8-4, 40-42) had their game at Lexington postponed due to rain … they begin a five-game set vs. Greenville tonight. OF Omar Carrizales is third in the South Atlantic League with a .329 average (72-for-219). Boise (7-13) tied the game at 2-2 in the top of the 8th but let Spokane get the run back in the bottom half, falling to the Indians 3-2. OF Yonathan Daza was named Offensive Player of the Week for the Northwest League after going 16-for-31 (.516) with four doubles, two home runs, nine RBI, three walks, and one stolen base for the week of June 29-July 5 … he has since been promoted to Asheville. 1B Brian Mundell went 1-for-2 with a RBI and a walk to improve his average to .340 on the season (16-for-47). Grand Junction (10-9) was postponed due to rain … they take on Helena at home today at 7:00 p.m. RHP Parker French was named Pioneer League Pitcher of the Week for the week of June 29- July 5 after allowing no runs on three hits in 6.2 innings of work in a winning effort.
