have seen Dylan once or twice in the hallways during the school
year. She did not know Dylan by name. She did not have any
information on how Eric or Dylan dressed.

a student named Malt, Who she believeshis father is a policeofficer, came running across the cafeteria to her
and asked her if there was a phone. Liane said that she had just kindof frozen in her position, and then helped
Malt into the kitchen, and pointed him to a back room wherethere wasa phone. She said that there wasa wave
of people that came through the kitchen, and that she ended upgoing into the storage room. She estimatedthat
there were 17 or 18 studentsand teachersin the storage room. She said thai they came in in two differentsurges

extremely loud single sound and then some rapid lireor firecracker sounds. These twocame from the cafeteria
area. She then said that Tony, one of the teachers, had a walkie-talkie with him and was talking with school
security. She estimated that at approximately two 0'clock a SWATtearncame and evacuatedher and the other
peopleout of the mop room.
Liane did not notice any unusual duffle bags or backpacks in the cafeteriaon 4/20/99. She had never heardof
the trench coat mafia, howevershe did see kids who woreblack trenchcoats, but to the best of her recollection,

April 20, 1999 Tuesday
Today we got out of school reallyearly only because somepeople wantedto blowup the school. I was in the cafeteria, or commons as we call it,when this whole thing started. At first every one thought it was a seniorprank only becausethe seniors were talkingabout a really big prank thatthey were going to pull. We all heard an explosion and then saw smoke. We all thought they put a smoke bombin one of the seniorsor juniorscars, only as a joke. Then therewas anotherexploSion, only louder thIstime and even more smokeso we all started to wonderwhat was reallyhappening. Then Mr. Cramcame running in yelling at every one to getdown. We all got down and thensomeone said to my friend, SarahGillings, and me that therewas a guy In the parking lot throwing pipebombs around, One of the ianitorscame running in and told us to go with

Thenthat is when the loudestof all theexplollions for me was, only because it was the closest and it was insideof the building, Then Mr. Andres Jr. opened somedoors that led to thestage of the auditorium, Everyone that went through that door went reallyfast. Sarahand I were holdinghands to makesure we knewwhere eachother were, We lost each otherwhenwe were runningthrough thosedoors. We found each other on the stage and linked up again, Westarted running again. We ranup the stairsthat was in the auditonum inorder to get to the second floor, We ran down the hall, past the mainoffice, down the counselor's hall and out the door to the smoker'spit, Thesmoker's pit has 3 fences. Onthe left is a baseball field, on the right thereis a lennis court. In the center is a fence about4 to 4 % feet tall. Sarahwas starting to get hysterical saying 'they're cornering us in, they'recornering US In." wejumped the fenceand ran towardsClemet Park, Itold sarah "if we got separated to go to the car,' We found Shellyand the3 of us held hands running. Whenwe got to the car wa found a lot ofpeople and we just piled into the car. Then somepeoplewere lookingforan inhalerand Shelly had one. We than were told to not go homebecause they wanted a headcount. We then went and sat down on thegrass by the street Pierce, We saw a lot of police cars, Shellywas reallyworried about her brotheronly because he was in his truck in the studentparking lot. He was in the direct line of fire, So Shelly was also prettyhystericaland worried abouther brother, We then startedwalkinghomeand my 7'" period teacher, Mrs, Waseko, told us that we should go home ifwe couid, I asked Sarah and Shelly if they wanted to go to my house andthey said, 'it would be a lot betterthan staying here.' I told Sarah that Iwas going to go get the car, Shegaveme a big hug and said, 'you bettercome back and in one piece,' I went back to get my car and peoplewereyelling at me because they thought I was going back inside of the school.I got into my car and they stopped yellingat me, I then drove up on to thegrass lookingfor Sarah and Shelly. I didn't find them but I did find Mrs,

Waseko. She said, • how did you get your car?" I told her that I went backto get it She said 'Stupid, Chris, that was really stupjd.· Ididn't findSarah and Shelly in that part so I went to the other sidewalk. I found thetwo of them and hQnked the hom. They really jumped and I really did notmean to scans them. They got in the car andwe went to myhouse. When we got to the stop light Sarahturnedon the redio to see if there wasanything aboutthis event on the radio. Whenwe got to my house Shellyand Sarahcalled family members. I took Shelly to the GovernorsRanchElementaryschool to wait for her brother. When I got homefrom weitingwith Shelly, I found out thatmymom had taken Sarahto her cousin'shouse. After mymom got homefrom taking Sera, we watchedthe news.About 1:30 Ashleighand her momlIITived at our door. We all watchedthenews. later larry showedup after linda left, Later linda showed up andwe ordered 2 pizzas. We ate and then Larry, Linda, and Ashleig/1left.
