WITNESSHulse, Jeffrey 11-21-81 (Jimbo)6339 S. Chase Ct. Littleton, Co. 303797-3901

Narrative:On5·7·99 I spoke with Hulsewhotold me that he knewboth Harris and Klebold but knew Harris muchbetter and used to play the game"Doom" with Harris on theircomputers thru a bulletin board or chatroomcalled "Enter Net"or "Mystical Realm" run by "Todd" phone 415·1895. Hulse confirmed that his screenname is "Jlrnbo", He began playing andtalking on linewith Harris around the endof Hulse's freshman yearand did so until Harris and Klebold "got into the trenchaoat thing" in their junior year (note: Hulse is oneyearbehind Harris andKlebold in school). Hulse knows the gameDoom andconfirmed that youcan developyour own plans or blueprints In the game and remembers Harris talking in the bulletin board aboutwantingto develop theplansfor Columbine HS for a game. Hulseneversawany Doom plans for CHS. Harris alsowent by a screen name"rebel doomer". Most of the time when Harris and Klebold were playing on line theywere at Harris' residence.

Hulse further advised that although he did get along with Harris (dUring their gaming days), he never gotalong with Klebold and in fact Klebold hated Hulse. Hulse was in an independent studies class with Kleboldbut was never allowed nearthe schools computers (due to a past hacking incident) and Hulse was alwaysgiven thecomputer assignments which very much upset Klebold.

At thelime of the incidenton 4·20·99 Hulse was in the photo room anddidn't know anything wasoccurringuntil he heard the fire alarmat around 1125 hrs • 1300hrsand exited the school thru the north doorin theclassroom andwentto the tenniscourts. Heneverheard anyshooting or explosions.

Hulse concluded by saying that there is a common term used in bulletin boards or chatrooms. It is H-P·Y·C·A recognized as being Hacking, Phreaking, Virus (or Yiril), Carding andAnarchy. These describe variousdifferent criminal activities. Hulse haswitnessed Harris occasionally usesome of these terms but couldremember nothing specific.
